Reflection about How My Writing Have Improved

My writing skills have improved compared to the first semester. I have improved in length, speed, and structure.
First, there is a difference in length and speed of writing in the two essays. For example, during the first semester, I had difficulties writing a paragraph in short periods of time. It took me a lot of time just to write a paragraph, and this affected the length of the essay because the time I had available to write the essay was not enough. Also, I had a lack of ideas of what to write, which affected my essay in informing the reader. During the second semester I saw a better improvement in these defects.
Second, the structure of the essay is another defect I have improved. One of them is the thesis statement. The thesis statement in the essay of the first semester is not as clear as the one of the second semester. Another defect was the conclusion. The conclusions of my latest essays are more clear.

Reflection About the Research of Universities

The research I made of the two universities(University of Aberdeen and Bangor University)is helping me to see the characteristics of each university before choosing. Both have the carriers I am still deciding to study: Computer Science or Psychology. I learned how the two Universities differ in requirements, cost, time required to graduate, ranking, number of clubs and societies, etc.
Thinking about the cost, both have the same opportunity for applying for federal loans, but they differ in cost. University of Aberdeen is more expensive compared to Bangor University, which mean that after studying for Bangor University I wouldn't have a great amount of money to pay. But talking about ranking, the University of Aberdeen has a higher ranking, and the money used on study is an investment. So, studying in the University of Aberdeen would be beneficial, but there are others factor to consider than cost and ranking.
Now, what about time for graduation. The University of Aberdeen offers the Bachelor's degree in four years, while Bangor University offers it in three years. Also, Bangor University offers the Master's degree in one year. This gives me the opportunity to get a Master's degree in four years, which is the same time required to get a Bachelor's degree in the University of Aberdeen.

Essay About The University I Chose

From the two universities in my list I am more decided to study in the University of Aberdeen. It is where a lot of characteristics I’m looking for are found, and it also has some characteristics that attract me. However, it also has some disadvantages, but they are not a big obstacle that can stop me from getting in that university.
First, one of the characteristic of the University of Aberdeen that attract me, and that at the same time may be a disadvantage, is its location. The place of its location, even the name of the university says it, is the city of Aberdeen, located in Scotland. The reason that it is in a different continent is one of the thing that call my attention since it is a place that I have never visited, and I have the curiosity to know. But the negative side is that I’m going to be far from the place that I live, which is nothing new. I have live in many places, and for sure I can adapt one more time from the many times I have done it.
A second characteristic that may be an obstacle is the requirements. The University of Aberdeen asks for a SAT score of 1800, and the problem is that my SAT score is 1270. I still have the opportunity and time to prepare and retake the SAT. But one of the advantages is that it doesn’t matter if I don’t get the SAT score the university asks for; the requirement of the SAT can be replaced by showing an ACT score of 27, two SAT Subject Test, or two APs tests. I have done the first AP test, and the next year of school I’m planning to take three others APs test, more if possible.
Third, one of the problems I have is that I am not decided yet to study between computer science and psychology, and it is where another of the advantages of this university comes. In this university I have the opportunity to study the first two years without choosing a career. This gives me the advantage to take classes related to the two careers I’m interested in, and when the time to choose the career arrives I will take a wise decision.
Finally, the University of Aberdeen has two characteristics that attract me: $92.2488 million library and free healthcare. The new library was recently open in this year, 2011. It is big, has lot of books available to students, and has areas to study as a group or as an individual. The second characteristic that attracts me is that the university offers free healthcare for students studying in the university for four years. This gives me
I conclusion, choosing the University of Aberdeen is a good decision. It has the characteristic I’m looking for such as the requirements, and choosing the career after the first two years. About the negative sides, they are no big obstacles; joust putting efforts and working hard can resolve them.
